Close trade if if second bet not matched after a certain amount of time.

About to make a complete burke of myself here I'm sure.

Devising a little bot. And I'm wondering if it's possible to exit a trade if the second part of my trade (lay bet) after a certain amount of time? Lets say 4 seconds for arguments sake.

Where rather than a stop loss kicking in if the price goes against me and exiting without a loss.

If I'm understand your scenario correctly, you could add a signal when your original bet fires, then add a close trade rule with a condition to say that the signal changed between 4 and 5 seconds ago. With other conditions to suit your situation if needed

Or you could think about using a trailing stop if that would suit what you are tying to do

I don't think a trailing stop will do any good. As I'm only trying to scalp 1 tick at a time.

Can you please tell me a bit more about this signal?
