Just learned Hamdan Al Maktoum has died.

Must be a concern for British racing if he has no heir with a similar love of the nags. Must be in the billions now what he has invested in British racing over 40 years.

Not sure about Tipp' but I do know that the 4TBP and 5TBP and even 6TBP markets for the races with higher selections, often don't get loaded on until after 10AM.This is a general thing I noticed, but the standard place markets are usually there the night before.
Hi Crazy, I follow you but I was referring to the 'normal' 2/3/4 place markets, there were no place markets at all for Tipp when I placed my post, they appeared later in the morning. I guess the furloughed Betfair employee charged with adding them was on a promise that morning!

Add in the loss of Khalid Abdulla recently, although the racing/breeding operation will continue for the foreseeable.

Not forgetting Sheik Mohammed and his recent shenanigans. (Racing Post owner too)

Shows that UK racing/breeding has been reliant on the saudi influence for a long time now.

I've noticed the extra place markets on betfair, for all meetings, get put up late in the morning too. Not sure why they do that.

Been really poor, I've sat and sat and sat waiting but very little has looked good.

I found when on several occasions when I got on it went “in the right direction” then some oik drives an order right over several ticks right on my entry, so frustrating today

Yep, my first trade of the day was a lay at 4.2 and I had my exit at 5.5 - it drifted to 4.9 and then some piece of work decided to take a chunk stopping me out at 4.1 before instantly reversing and hitting my target without me. For me when that happens it feels worse than just taking a loss on a trade that goes against your setup.

I think we both think the same way James when approaching the market 😉

Take it that trade sounded familiar to you, pretty sure it was the 2nd or 3rd race of the day.

Switched off anyway, came out for a chippy and I'm off to a high spot to eat my chips and watch the sun set.

just could not hit that juicy one to make it a decent day, kept chipping away but couldn’t land a biggie today..

Years ago ,

I always wondered about the use and if benefit of stall stats etc.
Over the years, after advice from the many (internet websites, forums etc etc ,) only advice from the very few person/s made sense to this day,
For example , A friend once showed me his collection of the Racing Post Weekenders
If I remember , printed every Wednesday, Delivered or collected from Thursday from outlet.

Always remember one of the many years involved the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster

I can always remember, a spreadsheet wasnt required

If I remember anything else

I will try to "explain" soon hopefully
;)
