My experience is using the national booking service at 1:30am is far more effective than during the day. 7 days of failing during the day. 1:30am picka day, pick a time.
I'm also willing to give credit to BJ et al with how they've been so fleet of foot on vaccinations. Both from getting contracts in place, but also the roll-out.
And, frankly, I'm disappointed with the EU's lack of agility.They seem to be hamstrung by bureacracy and political point-scoring. This pains me to admit 'cos I was a remainer.

Yeah the EU particularly certain leaders have made a total balls of it.

Its not too bad here in Ireland though, the roll out is slow but not as bad as some other EU countries. My 82 yr old mother is getting her 2nd jab next Saturday so me being 42 will probably have to wait until 2023

Indeed, regarding developing countries. Their advantage is climate, their disadvantage is an inability to respond to a medical crisis. I hope the developed world does the right thing here. We have much lower population density AND the economic and technological resources to help the developing nations. This will all be evaluated over the next few years. I don't want to be associated with a govt that was insular and deprived the needy for political reasons.

I'm sure those in developing countries will be fine without needing to start taking drug injections every 6 months. Those that run the developing world don't want to help developing countries, if they developed too much that would bring competition, war threats and go against their climate change agendas. It would be like a trader on here sending me all their automation files

As for empty houses, have you actually done the maths? How many empty houses will there be? Does a covid death mean family/housemates have to vacate the property? Do the number of covid deaths outway the present demand for housing? As usual, there's not much thinking behind your posts.

Well it must be true if the BBC said it, that's definitely not propaganda like most of their other stories.

There's around 2 people per household in the UK on average if you take away children who don't own houses, so if there was a deadly virus I'd assume it would have a noticeable effect on the housing market, unless of course the virus wasn't actually that deadly enough to make a difference to the population.

You are right, we should look at the maths, in which case there aren't really any concerning levels of excess deaths in any country in the world regardless of their restrictions and approach. I do see a lot of excess deaths in the home attributed to cancelled treatments for bigger killers however

It's a shame for those that will go to all the effort of going through with it and all the other restrictions for another few years chasing the carrot dangled on a fishing rod whilst me and millions of other healthy people ignore them and keep on spreading the virus and the Colchester variant

Had flu-like symptoms that evening (body roasting hot but forehead normal temp, strange). Achy all day yesterday but feeling fine this morning.

Quite glad I got the AZ one - it works like a traditional vaccine I believe whereas the mRNA ones are a much newer technology and more likely to turn people into lizards at a later date (of Bill Gates' choosing).

If you exclude queuing, pre-jab q&a, post_jab reassuring words re: side effects, would have taken 10 seconds at most, rather than 20 mimnutes.
Still, gave me the opportunity to thank a health professional face-to-face for what they've done in the last 12 months. They're running 12 hours a day 7 days a week. Amazing effort.

That's just not accurate at all. He doesn't have to switch his control panel on, he just orders one of his under paid & under privileged staffers to do it... probably from a building somewhere in India, it's cheaper that way.

I thought the vaccine contained a chip? What allows him to put it in one liquid but not another? You really should have planned your story more thoroughly instead of making it up as you go along!

I had the AZ last week, no issues apart from a sore arm for 4 days. Yeah it definately has a chip in, I've had 3 updates already and now my left ear only understands Spanish, but I do seem to be working slightly faster.
