Really enjoyed that, great way to start the season!

Yes, thrilling last few laps.
I thought Max made a perfectly good overtake and was astonished to see him relinquish the place back to Lewis. He was only wide as Lewis put him there!
Anyway, a dramatic climax and hopefully a good indicator of the season to come.
Lando Norris did well too I thought.

Track limits was an issue at times last season, looks like they haven't fixed it. Stick a gravel trap there that will sort it out!
Think that's where Hamilton has the edge on Verstappen, better driver in those situations.
Bodes well for the rest of the season though.

Bring on the real circuits. Walls, grass, gravel, elevation changes, cold and rain. I'd have loved to have seen Fernando in boring Bottas's seat. Then you'd have seen how fast those Mercs can go with a good driver on board .

I'm particularly looking forward to Silverstone, Spa & Monza, proper proper race tracks; and of course Monaco and also Azerbaijan! That crazy little section where I think the castle is, barely room for one car to get through!
The days of having two proper racers in a top team by design are gone unfortunately, now its one racer and a good back up who's more of a time trialist than anything else. Some fun battles further down the grid though so there's something to see everywhere you look.

Spa is my favourite. I live down the road from Cadwell Park which is a mini Spa. It's even got it's own Eau Rouge/Raidillon where you can get airbourne.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 11:34 pmI'm particularly looking forward to Silverstone, Spa & Monza,

Monaco shaping up to be very interesting...
Mercedes seems way off the pace in Practice 3.. Hamilton down in 7th and it doesnt look like sand bagging.
Ferrari's look very good. Could be interesting for the championship

Let’s hope they don’t have to change Leclerc‘s gear box.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 12:07 pmMonaco shaping up to be very interesting...

Monaco is unique and has little bearing on the Championship. Pretty damn cool though. I remember Senna and Mansell excelling in the rain, so rain mght be a good call for someone to show their ability.
UPDATE
Following further in depth checks this morning, no apparent defects were found on @Charles_Leclerc’s gearbox, therefore the Monegasque driver will start today’s race from pole position, as per the qualifying result.
Let’s see if can get a nice green before the start

It could have massive bearing on the championship. If Verstappen was to win and Hamilton didn't get on the podium that would close up the championship nicely.
Max needs to make the most of this supposed rear wing advantage in this race and at the next in Baku (two tracks that Mercedes say Red Bull and Ferrari should get maximum benefit of the wing) before the FIA probably ban it when after they conduct tests next month.
