So the reduced to clear mango chutney got wasted anyway.
Things like that are perfect for putting in the freezer, forgetting about for 6 months and then throwing in the bin. A jar is the perfect shape for trying to balance your ice cube tray on, apparently
You can probably tell from all my rants on this thread, if I was living with somebody all my life I'd be in an asylum by now. ;)

It's okay to do stupid things yourself and have nobody to pull you up about it - the issue's when your partner does it.

The secret is never letting your THC level drop too low and remembering there's only one thing worth getting your blood pressure up for.

Bag lady take note: Your colleague trusted me to scan the bag she gave me. She even turned her back, so I honoured the trust - otherwise I would have nicked it. :D

Introduce £500 fines for people who spit chewing gum on the streets, or make them clean it up. What is wrong with these demented morons?
Make that a grand for litter louts. What's so difficult about taking you're beer cans/litter home?

Perhaps Singapore's got it right. I can't quote him because the thread's been locked, but Archery1969 said this:

I spent 12 years there, great people and country. Just dont drop litter as i did back in the 1990s, as it cost me a 24" truncheon across the back of my legs, policeman stood there until i got back to my feet and told me to pick up the litter and put it in my pocket. I couldnt walk properly for 2 weeks. But i havent dropped litter in any country since.

Phone the bank to get their Swift code. "Are you sure you trust this company Mr..." , "You didn't seem to have any concerns when I was the one doing the wire transfer did you Bank".

I feel like everything is designed to make people jump through every single hoop possible.

Opening an account, "just sign here with any old electronic signature", withdrawing money "we need a physically signed signature, 4 DNA samples, 2 frogs & 15 cream cakes and a load of your time & effort".

Maybe you should have some compassion for the binmen who are being kept in a job and earning overtime from picking the litter and chewing gum up. I suppose you are one of those selfish people who puts their rubbish in the bin without thinking of the consequences and doesn't care if people lose their job.

When I'm drinking alcohol in the park I find it a more entertaining to throw the empty bottle in the river after drinking it and watch it sail down like a boat, that way if a council boss is passing and sees it he will think we need to keep more binmen in jobs and my good deed for the day is done as I know that all those people's families are getting fed

I like your style  someone has to grease the gears. If it wasn't for fine people like yourself Alex those fat cats wouldn't have to part with our tax money... we all have our part to play & yours is making sure the money flows into working class accounts.

Maybe do some overtime, on your way home from the park you could brick a few windows & steal a car to get you home. You would be providing work for window fitters, car manufacturer workers & police officers too

It certainly makes sure that public funds are put to good use otherwise it would just be wasted on putting new pavements on middle class streets like Derek's, so he can reverse his new Range Rover into his garage without scuffing the wheels

Talking bollocks again. Binmen don't pick up chewing gum. Council workers with high-pressure water jets or similar equipment do that job. Putting rubbish in bins keeps binmen in their jobs. I doubt they'll hire an extra man just to pick up your empty bottle.
