I currently use the Betfair style charts in BA for each ladder selection displayed e.g.

The chart has limitations in that it is only updated every 5 seconds and includes info from when the event started (which is useless to me).

What I'd like is a rolling chart that looks similar to the Betfair chart but contains only info for a specific time period (i.e. the last 3 or 4 minutes) and is updated every second or less.

Is it possible to setup an advanced chart to display this? - I've had a go can't get what I want.

Thanks in advance.

You can try this, but it doesn't give the volume.

You can change the data points and update time on the advanced charts settings so you can capture as much or as little as you like. Click on the spanner icon and go to the chart settings.

thanks, i've got a reasonable graph using a line chart with 2 second interval and width of 200 data points.

is there anyway to get rid of the volume from those charts?

Grab the line seperating the data and drag it lower with your mouse. Don't forget you can custom save chart settings under different names in the settings menu. This will allow you to flick quickly between different views.

Hi Frank

You can produce graphs like the attached, which are updated in real time, by clicking on the graph icon next to the Betfair graph icon.

And you can get Guardian to monitor an entire day's card for you. That way, when you arrive at a market, you can see what's been happening over the previous few minutes.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I've incorporated them into a new screen layout shown below.

- line chart showing lasted traded price only, with interval 2 seconds, width 200 data points (this gives the last 3 mins or so of price action).
- markets added to guardian ('shame this is a manual process each day).
- I've dragged the divider so that the volume display is shown at its smallest (this does not save in the screen layout though, 'has to be done each time BA is opened).
- I've overlapped the windows to reduce the amount of space taken and hide the volume part of the windows.

IMO a simple graph is all that is required for trading the nags - I just want to be able to see what has happened recently at a glance as clearly as possible.

Thanks again.
