Don't think Kane will go anywhere this summer, Levi surely won't allow it. I think Kane has been poorly advised, no way he should have signed a 6 year contract. If he was represented by a Raoila or a Mendes that would never have happened. Bit naive of his father and brother to let him sign a contract of that length. The club holds the cards and I don't think Kane will try to force it. Maybe get another year out of him and sell him for £100m next summer.

I'm a big fan of Brendan Rodgers but that's 2 seasons in a row where they've essentially bottled it. They have the FA cup at least this season but wonder if the owners will start to ask questions.

With Leicester Vardy is irreplaceable. The longer they ignore that issue the worse it will get. I have a lot of time for Brendan. His strategy is simple. That is an advantage in itself if he's backed by the owners.
And I think Kane will go. I hope he doesn't, but I think he will. He isn't Gerrard. He can't drag a team forward in the same way. He is the razor point of any attacking team. Whatever he decides to do, I don't think any fan would criticise him. Although going to Chelsea probably wouldn't go down well.

I wouldn't criticise Kane for going but I'd criticise him for signing the contract. I'm sure he could see that there was no investment being made in the squad but he signed anyway so its hard to have sympathy for him now saying he want's to win trophies and doesn't want to have regrets.

It won't happen but I'd love to see him at Liverpool. If he got the chances that Mo gets he'd score 30+ in the league a season.

Kane at LFC? I'll have to sleep on that. Don't think it will happen. He wants trophys. City guarantee that. LFC is still privileged, but not that far ahead of Spurs. Anyway ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

By comparison, the final ELO premier ratings and the how the championship contenders may fit in.

C.Palace have got to get it right with their new manager (whoever that maybe) and manage the out of contract players spilling into the new season, or it could be curtains next year.

Woy kept the ship steady during his tenure.

Long story on the username. Was "assigned" it about 25 years ago at work. Won't go into the grubby details ;)

Well done to Liverpool for getting into Champions league spot.
Liverpool and comebacks Mr Fox, name a better duo :D
Come good in the end but as usual it wasn't without its stressful moments.

Just a few more weeks to wait before most of us go through the emotional rollercoaster of following England through the Euro's

I've said it many times but there are many parallels between supporting Liverpool and England regarding the stresses, headaches and heart aches we go through

Emotional roller-coaster of following England through the euros  I got over that a long time ago when I realised something. Back in the day when I was naive enough to think our lack of success since 66 was nothing more than sample size and bad luck.

Oh if more things fell our way we'd win something. Penalty shoot out defeats.. Fluke Ronaldinho goals.. Sendings off... Lampards goal. One day Carl we will get all the luck. Well we did in 2018. Easy group and top teams getting knocked out all over the place. Tunisia, Panama and Belgium and Colombia and Sweden to get to a WC last 4....how easy could you have it short of hand picking it. We just didn't have the mentality to tough out a semi just like we've never had the mentality.

I won't bore you with the stats of England's record in knock out games in major tournaments against top class opposition... Dismal.

I don't get excited anymore. In 2010 we finally had a manager with a top class CV going into a WC in Capello and we stunk the place out. We were close to not qualifying from a group with Slovenia USA and Algeria in it.

Players are to busy thinking about next season to consider national pride because you need immense national pride and patriotism to win these events. It's what gets you over the line when it gets tough. Our players can't even be arsed to sing their own anthem.

As for the Liverpool analogy Dallas... Don't they actually win things from time :D

Well Utd were a great lay tonight and as I said after the semi... The ingredients were there for Emery to school OGS. Utd just not good enough in every department. A poor final really but what is this rediculous habit of players taking their medals off in the award ceremony. Ffs man up and grow up and take defeat like a man.

I get it that no professional sportsman wants to come second but that was pathetic. Cavani, Mata and De Gea didn't do it but almost everyone else did. Young lads need to learn that no team however good wins all the time. I cannot abide petulence. With Liverpool back stronger and Chelsea and City up there they will be fighting for 4th next season for me

Why are pundits and ex United players quoting thier 2nd place finish in the prem as progress. They need to stop looking at league position and more at points totals. It took Liverpool and Chelsea to have off seasons for them to come 2nd. That doesn't convince me. They got 74pts...in the overwhelming number of seasons that total doesn't get to within a country mile of the title. The lowest total in recent memory to win the title was Leicesters 81pts and they were still 7pts off that fluke low total. Mourinho got 81pts...this club is NOT moving forward... Its plateaued and plateaued way off the title

It was a really enjoyable game

Some great pens in the shoot out but it should never have got to 11-10, the Villareal goalie had his hands on a couple and couldn't keep them out. Felt a bit for De Gea having to play the villain. Biggest moment in Villarreal's history so it was nice there were some fans there to share it.

Highlight of the night for me was listening to those ex Utd players in the studio.. what a sour bunch. Was disappointed in Scholes, always thought he had a bit more about him as a pundit but he was as vinegar as the rest of them after the game.

If Utd want to be serious contenders then they should hire the newly available Conte, he'd sort them out. But they'll stick with Fergie's pet and won't win anything of note except maybe a domestic trophy.

Now if only Chelsea can beat City at the weekend then it would be the perfect end to the season :D

Amazingly I saw a stat that said De Gea has now conceded the last 36 penalties he's faced, last saving one back in April 2016. Would be a tough call to pull a goalie off and swap out for a penalty shoot out, but given managers plan the takers might have been one to consider. Tough one though for sure and I imagine a fair bit of variance in that sample size.
