Think Nadal lost that match in the 1st set.
He had his foot on Djokovic's throat at 5 love up but those extra couple of games allowed Novak to get his rhythm and he carried it into the 2nd set, Nadal was always playing catch up from there.

In the last set, Nadal removing the strapping from his left ankle suggested he was feeling some discomfort, and that was a sign for me to lay him. Then they said he's been dealing with the issue since 2003...just shows the pain they get through to be the best.

Wimbledon starts in a couple of weeks! Nadal at 11 might be worth a few pennies, he'll have a point to prove.
Djokovic ridiculously short at 2.34, the next gen are closing the gap and wouldn't be surprised if Tsitsipas wins on Sunday

I'm the worlds biggest Nadal fan but don't think that had any bearing on the outcome. He just played very defensively for me, especially on his serve. His service games when he broke back in the 2nd and 3rd sets were very poor, he just served safe and didn't try to find the lines. It was like he was waiting for Novak to make a mistake.wearthefoxhat wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 10:37 pmIn the last set, Nadal removing the strapping from his left ankle suggested he was feeling some discomfort, and that was a sign for me to lay him. FFS, the Euros will still be running. They should have one of these competitions in the winter.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 10:42 pmWimbledon starts in a couple of weeks! Nadal at 11 might be worth a few pennies, he'll have a point to prove.

Ridiculous scheduling, RG finale clashing with EURO by 3 fking days. RIP Wimbledon.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 11:06 pmFFS, the Euros will still be running. Tomorrow big England and Croatia match/market and Djoko final and gran's birthday and one day town festival, so that's gonna be a 2 minute gran visit I think, I'm already tilted

Simple, take gran to town festival (for her birthday treat), teach her how to trade the tennis while she's there, tell her you'll pop back to pick her up when the football's finished. (The tennis is gonna be at least 4 hours) Win WIn.Kai wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 8:14 amRidiculous scheduling, RG finale clashing with EURO by 3 fking days. So you're basically saying tennis is so easy my gran could do it No, I'll stick to the original plan and look for a body double on account of her bad eyesightwearthefoxhat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 11:30 amSimple, take gran to town festival (for her birthday treat), teach her how to trade the tennis while she's there, tell her you'll pop back to pick her up when the football's finished. But could be worse, the final and the England match could be kicking off AT. THE. EXACT. SAME. TIME.
I remember a group of friends arranging a day out and I said I can't make it because the Juddmonte International's on. Obviously those ignorant gits hadn't heard of the Juddmonte International - they didn't even know it's a horse race never mind a group one and couldn't understand why I was giving it a miss.
3 setter coming up, all text book stuff so far which is just as well considering the amount of screens I'm trying to keep an eye on lol
