I wonder if It's possible to be successful in the sport trading only looking at data and probabilities, without knowing a lot about the sport news (not being hugely interested in it)..

Statistic and football - Newbie doubt
Hello! I've just approached football betting world and even though I have never liked or followed football as a sport, I really like the sport trading from a statistical point of view, and currently dedicating a big portion of my time to it.
I wonder if It's possible to be successful in the sport trading only looking at data and probabilities, without knowing a lot about the sport news (not being hugely interested in it)..

Yep. 100% doable and more people make big money by just looking at the market numbers than looking at underlying fundamentals stats. Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about sport (except certain motorsports) or watch any.

You money mercenary you ...Its really hard to make money on sport. There are a lots of suprises in sport. I'm trying to make a bets but I'm making for example 2-3 games at one ticket. I'm trying to avoid to be greedy. That's a good way to make extra money. If you want to make a lot of monwey I belive you have to watch it game, tables, results, etc. It's hard but I belive you can make at least to pay your bills and beer

well . I'm not a gambler like gambling all the time , just there was a euro 2021 so I decided to make few bets. I know is addicctive and you can loose a lot of money. I have tried to to trade but its not for me. I had my adventure with bitcoins as well, but I bought it in wrong time. I'm 40 years old and to be honest I don't really understand trades, terminology. I rather stay with sport betting. If you want I can delete account. Thank you

You might learn stuff too that you might want to incorporate into your betting/trading or others might be inspired by whatever you may share.

You need value and positive expectancy (+EV) in your betting to make profit long term! EDIT : I also hope you're not one of those forum bots, since your profile website links to a casino and shows different age than the one you shared
It's a shame the automation aspect is severely gimping the overall sharing but at least keeps the markets less competitive for much longer

So you bet on anything at any price simply because it's on, you care about individual results and think learning stops at 40. Either quit now or give us a heads-up next time you're having a bet so you at least know where you're money's gone. Anyone encouraging you must surely be acting in their own self-interest.

Hi, value and strike rate are two different things. I'm not sure you understand the concept of value. As an example if you were betting on the toss of a coin and I offered you odds of 2.0 there is no value here as over the course of say 100 bets you will break even. That's because a coin flip is 50/50 heads/tails. Now if I was to offer you odds of 2.5 for tails you have a value bet.
