Why would a lineup leak affect a team performance?
It reveals formation and overall tactical approach which the opposition can exploit and prepare against. That's why lineups are revealed just an hour before the off, usually not a big issue if a team has settled starters and a clearly defined style of play, but England is rotating quite a bit and has from memory played 4 different systems in the last 10-15 games.

Bang out of order Kai!

Even I wouldn't insult England like that :P
Heh, whether they win it or not the nation as a whole seems to be healing :) And if they win it this could spark a mentality shift at Spurs as well, providing Kane stays at the club!

England reminds me of Spurs at club level, there's more than enough ability in the squad but there's just some mental blockades to overcome. The media doesn't help with all the lineup leaks but it obviously helps having a likeable manager like Southgate.

That analogy is pretty spot on really. Any team though be it Tottenham/England will at some stage breakthrough and win something when a combination of a strong squad... Decent manager and good fortune combines together. Greece in Euro 2004 is a modern example at international level.

Spurs almost won the CL in 2019 after getting out of jail against city and ajax. That happens in football. England do have baggage to overcome but they can do this now... Even if they fail they could still have done it. England can beat any team in world football on their day... ANYBODY. The problem with England in the past is that they lacked the quality to beat top class side after top class side with a tough draw like a France, Spain or Germany could. Even now I don't believe we are in that category regarding the calibre of previous tournament winners.

But Denmark and Italy/Spain in the final is well doable now at Wembley with 60k home fans. The dividing line between success and failure is thin. In 1990 Chris waddle hit the inside of the post in extra time with a golden goal rule in the semi. Then there was Gazza sliding in and missing the ball by inches in the 96 euro semi. I'm convinced we would have won both finals against Argentina and Czech Republic had we reached them making us not winning anything since 66 no longer applicable

We have conceded zero goals in 5 games and just 2 more to win, and football is indeed then coming home! For the Queen and St.George!

Trying to see past an Italy 🇮🇹 win but it’s impossible.

Especially when we 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 smashed Ukraine 🇺🇦 and Spain lost to them.

Hopefully Spain do us a favour and kick the shit out of Italy tonight

Not looking past Denmark 🇩🇰 though 😏

The mood music has always been Italy are a Tournament team.. Losing Spinazolla is being touted as a big thing. But is it?
This is Italy. They're playing like Italy.
It's a system. They all know it - plug and play.
The issue is have Spain recovered from losing their creative dominance?
Is there any desire to just mimic Italy?
Stubborn defence and then counter-attack.
I don't think Spain have got that. At the moment they're a bit tedious.
Italy for me, all day long.

Not convinced that Italy have given it everything yet. Could well grind out to Dallas's satisfaction.
