if you have put illegal software on a company laptop you are likely breaking their terms and conditions and liable to the sack. i would get Bet Angel off that machine before your IT department find out and report you to HR.

When legislation says you're liable to £1000 fine, 5 years in prison, etc. it doesn't mean that's you you get. You don't need to overdramatise it.

Besides, the OP didn't say who he's working for. He might be working for his wife without a contract. An employment solicitor would ask a lot of questions before advising somebody that they could be dismissed.

Guys relax - only reason i mentioned it was a work laptop is because i think there's some kind of firewall or whatever that's stopping the streaming. IT guy reports to me, not getting sacked!
