Conditions - Close Trade Profit & Green All Profit - Not Firing!

Version - Betangel for Betdaq (free version - which doesn't have all options as paid version)

Just testing new stratergy, a basic back bet @ 1.20 £1 stake. I've set up a Offset Bet With Greening and Stop in Paramters, which triggers fine, and stops out at a 15p loss.

However, what i've found is that on certatin market conditinons, obibnouly the back bet isn't taken, and I've lost £1 .. which is eating into my profits. To counter this, I've tried the Close Trade Profit & Green All Profit ... under Conditions tab, but they're not firing (sorry I don;t have a screen shot of this).

So under Paramters, the stop is @ 15p loss, and I tried to set the Close Trade Profit & Green All Profit at both 25 loss and 50p loss to catch any big lay move ... but as I said, when i saw the ladder, it was obvious that these conditions aren't firing. One ladder the loss was at 37p .. not lay bet was in, and again at over 50p, no lay bet went in.

The green all condition needs to be profit < - 50p to stop a loss bigger than 50p.
Eg - 60p is < - 50p

We say "a loss bigger than 50p" but that's the difference between English and maths.

so if you wanted to set a rule to trigger if a loss is worse than -£1 you would use 'Less' than -£1 (less being any figure lower than -£1)

But it doesn't matter what I do, more than, less than, it still doesn't fire. Maybe it's becasue i'm using the free version, but I can't get it to work, hence it goes to the maximum loss when it goes to 1000.

Are you sure it's not firing or just not getting matched? In running prices aren't available for long and you'll be lucky to hit them with any sort of certainty. In fact trying to apply any sort of stop in-running is a bad idea because it's likely to be at a lousy price. The market doesn't care what your unrealised PL is so it's not something to base a decision on.

I've got it to work, but thanks for your help.

What I've done is to I got rid of the Close Profit and Green Up in conditions on the original Rules, then added Close Trade With Greening as a separate Rule, and it's now greening up.

What I tend to do is cram everything into one Rule instead of adding separate Rules ... especially when it comes to the option on the General tab … I forget there's more to the options than simply Back Bet or Lay Bet, and I neglect the other options available

For me, the next Test, is to have a go at Rearming to see if I can at least regain the loss. My P/L at the end of the day is doing OK (now is firing) ... but if I can get it to rearm, hopefully ... I can end up with £0 profit instead of taking a15p loss.

PLEASE HELP

Bad news. For some reason, Greening Up or Close Position with Greening is being temperamental as to if it works or not. I've lost over £30 in testing over the weekend alone, as the free betdaq version doesn't come with a practice version - as far as I know, so i have to test with live money, but for the most part, it's not Greening Up!

Can anyone give me a simple way to green up as a scratch trade, or to catch it if it goes 'Less Than' -0.01 please, because I'm haemorrhaging money over this?

I've tried everything from Close Trade Position, to Green Up Position (in conditions), to a simple 'Green Up' rule (in General tab), but it really seems sporadic as to if it works or not!

And it's not a matter of the Green Up trade - not being matched. In cases that I've watched live, It goes beyond the 'Less Than' minus price, with no Green Up trade going in at all … which I set @ -0.15, but it's going way beyond that, and If I don't watch it, I lose my entire stake!
