How do i work out which is money that has been backed on a horse or football team and which is money that has been layed when looking at the graph?

Any replies appreciated :D

All money is "matched" ie there is both a lay and a back bet of equal size.

Thanks James1st

It's obvious now you mention it.Doh!

Am i right in thinking if odds go down people are putting more money on the back side and if the odds go up there is more money being placed on the lay side?

Correct. If the odds go down more people are backing the selection. This is displayed as more money on the Lay Side of the screen - as the Backers are asking for potential layers.

Hi BigBazzer

I wouldn't assume that, because you see a big spike combined with a dip in the graph, that someone with expert or insider knowledge has bet on the selection (at least not without lots of paper trading). It could be a trader, or it could just be someone with more money than sense...
