Hi,

I load most races in every day.
I have 50 sheets in workbook

Is this most efficient way to do

Win markets load with custom filter
Put in excel sheet and use short cut key to apply to rest of races

Put in Place markets with custom filter (different macros than win races so need to go on certain sheets)
Put in excel sheet and use short cut key to apply to rest of races.

It that it takes 15min to put in all the meets and assign sheets.

Is there a more efficient way to do this?

You could just have one sheet that runs the same strategy and 'Restrict Refresh' each of the markets so they link up to that one sheet in turn. If you need to run multiple sheets at one time, 'Restrict Refresh' will still drastically lower the amount.

Don't make sheet 1, specific for market 1 and sheet 2 specific for market 2 (if you can help it).
Instead, have a duplicated 'master' sheet that runs on every market and only refresh the markets you need when you need them. That will make things MUCH more efficient for you.

Thanks Callum.
Yep am doing that.
Using sheet 1 for all of one meet and using restrict refresh
So i copy sheet 1 into race 1 and then use keyboard shortcut to copy and paste the rest of meet.

This might be the best way i am doing it without autobinding

I'd just have one master sheet that recognises (via a formula or VBA) whether it is looking at a win market or a place market and then auto bind + auto clear with restrict refresh turned on so you don't have to bother with the copy and pasting at all.

If horses are i.e. 30 mins apart and you have your refresh 20 mins out, then at any one time you're only going to need one or two sheets 'live'. No need to spend 10 mins every day setting it up if you let BA do it for you.

Yeah something to think about.
I have races every 5 min but yeah a formula to determine meet might be better than allocating certain sheets to a region.
Aus is easy as the race name has (Aus)
Place is easy too as it has 'to be placed'

Say there is 4 races at these times
12:00
12:05
12:10
12:20

and i have restrict refresh to 5min before and 10 min post
Will auto bind and clear know to assign
sheet 1 to 12:00 and 12:20
sheet 2 to 12:05
sheet 3 to 12:10

Yes. Auto-bind will automatically attach the next market that falls into a refresh cycle with the next available sheet you have present, like in your example. Do some tests with template sheets yourself to confirm and think about if formulae could potentially interfere with each other.

Basically this means you have to be careful and discrete with your variables/cell references for each sheet but the upside is, only a handful of sheets will ever be live (thus putting less pressure on your computer) and you don't need sort sheets each and every morning.
