USING AUTOMATION TO PLACE BETS IN PLACE MARKET WITH STD 3 PLACES AFTER NON RUNNERS DECLARED

Hi All
I use a strategy using the standard place market with 8 runners or above and the standard 3 places available.
Is there a rule or 2 I could use to still use the the said market AFTER a non runner or 2 is declared.
The problen I have currently is I use the rule " selections must be greater than 7" so I dont get sucked into standard place markets with only 2 places available.

Create a signal within your rules where runners >7, and add a condition to your rules that the signal must be set. You'll need to have the rules running from early in the day though, or maybe even the night before.

So basically what you are saying is set a signal very early when there was originally 8 or more runners and delete my rule 'number of selections must be greater than 7 ?

Yep. Or you could open the market whenever you want and check if it's a 3 place market. Then place a single small back bet at 1000 on the favourite, and create a rule to set your '3 place' signal if unmatched bets >0. Then your trading can start whenever you want if the signal is set.
