That 100k House program in the afternoons, what a load of complete horseshit ................... If nothing else they're just building an unlit bonfire to live in with all that exposed studwork.
I take it you are not impressed Shaun!
 How did you guess. Grand Designs is back though so I'm happy about that.

The same afternoon I watch 100k Shed, the lovely Ms Dent on Countdown explained the origin of the word "Wally" which seemed appropriate :)
....apparently some guy called Wally got lost at 60s music festival and they announced it on the PA system, the crown picked up on it, any fool got called a Wally, and it's stuck. And suddenly the Where's Wally books make sense! I guess whoever created them had heard that story.

24 hours ago I noticed a condition in one of my rules and thought, WTF is that for, it's already covered, and promptly removed it. After a day of debugging and wondering why I see a Guardian alert: "Greened-up Hooray!" when I've actually made a loss, now I can remember what it's for. :x

It's a flipping nightmare trying to download the right version of the song you want. You'd think you can't go wrong if the word 'original' is included!

Grand Designs is great Sunday/hangover tv. There was an episode years ago about this couple who wanted a huge curved ceiling to floor glass window on their sitting room but it was too big for domestic glaziers and too small for commercial ones, so they eventually got it at a cost of over 200k. The episode covered about 5 years of their build, and during it the husband had something like 2 heart attacks and a stroke as well, he changed appearance and weight so much after every ad break you couldn't even tell it was the same man! It was just one of those stick-in-the-head episodes for it's outright craziness and WTF moments.

Just signed both my laptops into my Microsoft account and before I could even select sync options it synchronised everything, changed my background, logon screens and fuck knows what else. Wankers!!

What a waste of time that was, it doesn't even synchronise the custom dictionary between computers. Considering Windows, Edge and Office are all Microsoft products it's completely bonkers having 3 separate dictionaries - 6 if you have 2 computers, instead of a centralised dictionary linked to your account. And they think having the same flipping background and colours on each computer is going to assist your productivity!

How do toddlers in supermarkets manage to emulate a jet engine being powered up to full throttle?

Because they have genuine joie de vivre and are untouched by inhibition and cynicism. Enjoy!

Whatever kid was making that screaming engine sound certainly wasn't full of enjoyment. :)

Couldn't agree more. The Microsoft mantra seems to be "let's make it look better" rather than "let's make it perform better"! I made the mistake once when replacing a phone to go for a Windows phone because compatibility with and communication with my PC was my highest priority ... social media functions were my lowest priorities. "compatibility with and communication with my PC"? ... big mistake! The iPhone was more compatible and communicated better.

Or they have parents who have no consideration for others and don't give a dam how disruptive their kids are.

In fairness, no parent can stop their children from crying, that's what they do. I just wish they wouldn't do it at 110 decibels/15 Khz. :)
