I have a greyhound bot that is doing ok but the problem I have is with scratchings. It is a Value bet on certain trap, I am in NZ where we have 8 runners 2 reserves. So an example is I want to lay trap 6 @ X odds but the 2 has been scratched. So what happens is Betfair move them all in one and place the bet on trap 7. But the #9 goes into trap 2 and the 6 is still running from trap 6. Also even if a reserve doen't race the 2 trap is vacant and the 6 still runs from trap 2. The only way I can see a way around is to manually go thru each race and adjust accordingly, as I also do Aust that is a fair few races to check.

Is there a way I can solve this problem with automation.

I asked this on another thread recently and in short, the easiest way around this is to work with 8 runner races only.

There is no way to automate (without excel) around reserves etc without making your back/lay on a nominated selection and then manually selecting the trap in guardian.

Thanks for that, and I thought that would be the case. I do have 8 runners as a condition but if the reserves get in they muck up the order. Not a big problem but thought I would ask.

The new version of Bet Angel V1.57 which has just been released on Beta has the option to store the value of the selection names as text
You could then do something similar to above and test all those selections still have the same runners
