Going looks hard for Betfair
An anonymous source is quoted as saying: 'If good decisions were made and proper structures put in place the company would be able to accelerate quickly'.

Betfair was never quite the same when the founders went non exec. The pressure they face now is that if you have sold the company to the city as a high growth company then you need to deliver to that mandate and I don't think they can without damaging the structure of the company. That said only a minority is owned by institutions so they can't vote down resolutions.
Thought I would do a quick rule of thumb valuation on Betfair at the current price, would you believe it, the investor relations web site is down!

There are only 3 press releases for this year, and none contains the sort of news that would send a shareholder's pulse racing:
