Nobody will want to manage Chelsea now? I think that's enough quality managers through the turnstiles at Stamford Bridge to put off any decent successor?

Quite.

And it doesn't help that the manager isn't given the final say over everything football-related (the club's signing of Shevchenko against Morinho's wishes being a case in point).

Abramovich has totally bankrolled Chelsea's success.

If you were him, and you'd spent what he has, you'd feel every right to interfere in matters

He needs a yes man.......Steve McLaren is available

Perhaps, but if I were a top manager and he did that, I'd feel every right to tell him where to stick his job! :)

The future may well lie with the results of the 3rd June clash of Turkey Vs Belgium.

Talking of Yes Men, it reminded me of the early 90's "Do I not like that" Graham Taylor England documentary. World class telly. Phil Neal following him around echoing everything he said. Cringworthy.

You can watch it all on you tube, it is about 14 or 15 parts, but worth watching again to pass an hour or 2.

You are probably right enzabella. When they play they look like a individuals not a team.

Hi Enzabella, I'm very aware of him, in the matter of fact I can't see him on tv anymore!

Papers here are reporting that Abramovic is willing to pay what it needs to get in to Chelsea. IMHO, it's a risky move as he is really young, but the 'new Mourinho' tag is great lure ;)

I dont think villas boas is like mourinho..Mourihno is a Viper and villa boas is a young moongose..time will tell which game people will like most...

Viper: are capable of making decisions on how much venom to inject depending on the circumstances and wait the prey crossing the path.

Moongose: can be more destructive than desired. they are strong attackers and strong defenders...

After last night, I bet Chelsea pull out the stops to get Guardiola to come to Stamford Bridge, and bring some players with him!

BTW, I'm surprised by some names that are missing from the Betfair 'Chelsea next manager' market. Given their pre-England successes, I'd have thought that Cappello and Sven Goran Erikkson would be listed. They're more likely to get the job that Ray Wilkins, who does make the list!
