Maybe I meant it's going to be hard to sell the idea of martingale, as in convince others that your concept works. But you can try

The way I get this point across is to tell a story of how you find yourself walking along a cliff edge and see somebody about to jump. You tell them not to jump because they are about to die. You explain everything to them and how you need wings or some other mechanism to survive the fall.
At which point the person you were speaking too jumps, just to prove you wrong.
