Possibly, but surely the aim when betting isn't to pick winners - it's to find value! :)

That said, I'm not sure these races are great for value either. Last year around this time, I was making money for fun from betting. I have a spreadsheet from last year, with about 5,000 selections on it and an ROI of about 15%. But in the last couple of months, it's been a really hard slog...

I just got careless and used big stakes then made things worse with angry trading.
