Hi all,

Is it me or are there other points of congestion other than crossover points??

Im not sure if I am looking for something that isn't there but I quite often come up against difficulty getting through, sometimes even a reversal at .25, .5, & .75 (so basically; 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 between points).

If these are known points of congestion, is it trader psychology or algorithms favouring these points and creating congestion?

TIA :geek:

Some of it is around the old odds that traditional bookmakers use.

Ie 7/4 (2.75) is halfway between 6/4 (2.5) and 2/1 (3.00).

Even though there is no 2.75 price on BF, it often bounces off around 2.74/2.76

Ahh this is interesting, thanks PapaShango 👍🏼👍🏼

So I guess its probably a good idea to know all the fractional odds (or most common) that the bookies use to help anticipate congestion/resistance at these seemingly obscure price levels?

When you say "old odds"... how have they changed, do you mean from fractional to decimal?

Also, do you know who is in control at these points i.e. traders armed with this knowledge, or bookies deciding that this is their top/bottom of a traded range, and traders are following/anticipating the bookies move?

Thanks

There's a ladder settings profile you can download that has the crossovers and fractional odds shown as 'markers' on your ladders

You'll see in the images included how ranges tend to form between two fractional prices as PapaShango stated above

Its just a series of individual markers set at fixed odds ie, all the cross-over and fractional odds prices, the actual configuration I used for each is below
