Does that include Randwick?
Yep - I expect it to be reasonably weak.

Someone has clearly found the “market make” button on the favourite in the cup and decided to hammer it. Shame because it disrupts the flow.

The women at Melbourne seem have some completely over the top outfits.

Volume really ramps up in the last hour, so should blast through that.

Guessing you are not in the UK as it's on TV here all night.
I am but I really like the Racing.com coverage and you get a few of the other tracks on there as well. I very rarely use Attheraces for pictures anymore.

It is such a shame that they have locked Racing.com to Australia only, if anyone else can double check that this is the case it would be appreciated just in case it is something I am doing wrong.

Also if anyone has any other links for streaming pictures or fast radio feeds please share them. The link Peter has shared is going tobe really useful as it covers all the tracks seemingly (keep in mind they are delayed by about 20 seconds).

I feel all at sea with my usual set up being disrupted by the change of pictures source. The coverage on Racing.com was so much better its like my comfort blanket has been taken away. I need to settle into a rhythm quickly. I hope they un-restrict access after today but they haven't in the past have this restriction for the Cup so I fear it is a permanent change.

For newbies - events away from Flemington will usually be very weak. (Although things can and do change over time - so observations and adjustments to what actually happens is also a key).

Enjoy the carnival.
I am so far finding the non Felmington meetings okay though I expect that to drop off as we get closer to the Cup.

Also just had a great little touch on the Premium Bonds :D Has got the day off to a great start.

Finding the markets pretty decent so far, how about everyone else?

Enjoy the 'quiet' patch as not long until it gets 'busy' with 4 more courses still to join the party!

Good to hear!

Probably worth adding a warning for any people who don't normally trade Australian markets, there is a turnover charge on the New South Wales meetings; Randwick, Kembla Grange and Muswellbrook. You can only place back bets that total when added up over all those meeting to a maximum of AUD$6,000 = roughly £3,000. Place more back bets than that and you will be hit by a heavy charge, so be careful on those meetings. The rest of the meetings don't have a limit thankfully.

There is a separate TO charge for NSW trotters/harness racing, I believe thats AUD$1,000 = roughly £500.

The Melbourne Cup market is looking very much like the Gold Cup market!...Choked with money.
