Bear in mind,
If it was say Man United v the bottom of the league and you laid the draw but the bottom team scored first the draw is likely to shorten rather than drift as it will be expected United will get a goal back. Best to have a look at Soccer Mystic, can't say I do football myself.

Hi
Been doing this since the start of premiership, pretty new to online betting myself. So far just dabbling @ £40 profit on a very small starting pot of £50.
Things I have found so far are.
1. Do your homework - get an idea of form, dont pick low scoring teams (e.g. i avoid birmingham like the preverbial plague at the moment). Also i have stuck to premiership as "know" the teams. Dutch top league is supposed to be very high scoring.
2. As per another post, ideally you pick two reasonably matched teams, but to keep liability ££ controlled keep to lowish starting lay odds of less than 5.0
3. You gotta be ready so when a goal goes in and the price climbs do a guesstimation if its peaked (normally 5-15secs are coming back in play)
4. Bear on mind that the earlier the goal the less the odds will change, personally i take whatever profit i can.
5. In order to make all three possibilitys (home win, away win, draw) go green you must lay a bigger stake than you back bet. i.e. you must lay bet >£2 on betfair as min bet is £2. Otherwise all you possible profit is locked to the draw.
6. Its very slow progress adding value to your pot (assuming humble beginnings like mine)
