I'm tempted to have a bet on Native Khan, given that the owner has gone to alot of trouble and expense to take a leading jockey out of the race...

I'm amazed at the lengths the owners went to seeing as Johnny Murtagh was available as a replacement - few jockies ride Epsom as well as him (he has won the Oaks, 2 Coronation Cups & the Derby 3 times).

I think the owner was just trying to make a point. It appears Fallon signed a contract and then changed his mind.

I don't think Native Khan would win if he started 1f ahead of the others. He appears to be a miler to me having watched his races and those of his sire I would say it is extremely unlike he will stay 12f around Epsom. His Grand Sire was Night Shift, a sprinter and his sire Azamour won mainly at a mile. I know this can be wrong and a horse can spring a surprise but I would want 33/1 minimum before I backed Native Khan.

JG, I think you are probably right that the owner was just making a point.
I'm looking forward to the day I have enough money to nip off to the High Court to make a point :)
