i am new to betangel and have been trying the bookmaking function today, all went well for the tennis then i tried it on the horses. i set it to lay at the current back prices but when it fired the bets into the market it layed all the selections correctly except one which it submitted at lay at 1.01, this happened in the next race as well. ? what am i doing wrong (i am laying with a £10 bank)

bookmaking problems
It sounds as though there was a price change just before you pressed 'Place bets' and the best price on offer was 1.01
In saying that though, what settings do you have ticked?
Which option on staking method is highlighted?
Do you have margin maker ticked?

Sometimes the Betfair API freaks when it sees lots of these small bets, throws and error and they 'stick' in the sytem. The only way to definately avoid this is stake to a minimum bet value of £2.

With a £10 bank you are going to be submitting bets below £2 hence Bet Angel offering 1.01 first. This is normal and it should then make the changes by cancelling and resubmitting at the correct odds.
You may have been noticed by Betfair submitting too many bets below £2 and that is causing you the problems.

thought that the problem might have been the low stakes but it was strange that it was only one horse in each race. i did wait to see if the program cancelled the bet then resubmitted it at the correct odds but nothing happened. i wanted to use the small stakes at first in case anything went wrong. oh well i will have to look at other options for building up my bank.
