Hi all,

New here, but trying to find my feet in trading.

Downloaded bet Angel Pro and have been playing around with a few small stakes, but on doing a one-click bet for £5, offset of one tick (with or without greening) I end up with a loss on the horse I have traded on, and a small profit on all the others.

Screenshots below:

Any help is gratefully received!!

Thanks!

Hi

If you look at the box top left of main screen that tells you what global settings are being applied. In your case it was "Offset with greening and stop". As the back bet hit the stop before the offset, a lay bet was placed in to the market (actually 2 as your bet was matched 4.91 +0.09 +5.00)If you want to place an offset without stops or greening change the selection in the box.

There are a couple of Bet Angel videos which will explain global settings (offsets etc) in more detail.

Yes Dave is correct, also your stop-loss was only 2 ticks and that will get triggered a lot, even on many potentially winning trades.

One of the problems with any stop-loss is that it will get triggered by 'spikes' in the market which often correct themselves within a few seconds.

But if you'd like to use a stop loss then I'd suggest setting it higher and thinking of it as only for real emergencies ie. when otherwise you'd looking at the screen swearing too much to trade out at a loss.

some times if there is an unplanned nonRunner just seconds before the off than the prices play up a bit ..
