When I posted that I mistook the news report for the final. I think it was the semi-final, but it's unfortunate that this thread, which started and endured so much enthusiasm, has fizzled out before we've even reached the final.

Once they both get back whoever was on the losing side is going to endure a lot of ribbing from the other for the remainder of the season

Senegal - Egypt face off again over two legs in March in the final qualifying round for the World Cup. These three games could really test their relationshipDallas wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 1:34 pm

Ah no Pat, they're good devout Muslim boys, no illness towards their brother. That said Salah, had an Instagram post over Christmas of the family in front of the Christmas treeTrader Pat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 2:58 pm

Yeah I saw that picture. I'd be more worried about the matching outfits than the Christmas treeDublin_Flyer wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 3:52 pmAh no Pat, they're good devout Muslim boys, no illness towards their brother. For me the best team in the tournament wins the championship but questions will be asked as to how Mane was still on the pitch to take the winning penalty. Should have had a second yellow card for diving in extra time. Also Salah should have taken the first or second pen in the shootout but as it was didn't get the chance to take one at all. Wanted the glory but ends up in tears.
For Liverpool though I think this is the best result. A great boost for Mane's confidence going forward and Salah has the mentality to use this disappointment as fuel.
