Probably born 68.

Either sad or uplifting that its mid-night here, and I have nothing else to do (apart from NZ cricket/Aus races)

Still plenty of EV in these markets.
Would you say potential in UK racing has dwindled more than other markets in the last 10 years?

I seem to remember you once posting a P&L that was exceptional in different sports bar racing
I almost never bet on UK racing these days, but bet a great deal on Aus/USA/S.African racing.

The EV spots are still there .. it really depends how badly you want it.

Th process is largely the same - find a repeatable, verifiable edge, and hammer it.

51 yr old. . Tried most things trading wise , multiple products and sports, manual, automation, got stage 4 cancer, taught myself python+ typescript during chemo(a good distraction). Back trading manually( use automation for alerts to some situations).. only make about $100 a month but keeps me occupied. I love the process of discovery now..in life and in trading. I try to keep my mind open to change and possibilities. I try to make the ruthless markets my friend. I work hard . I try to use the pressure of uncertainty to melt my preconceptions. I don't feel old in the moment. ;) Good luck in whatever you decide.

I have been inrigued to read the posts regarding age. In 12 days time I will turn 79 and am still trading manually. I suppose that might give me the distinction (if that is what it is) of being the oldest trader on BA. I started in January 2008 and once I ploughed the learning process of about 4 months I have been in profit ever since. I don't make huge amounts and my daily P & L reflects the state of my health on that day. I am now looking at using automation - I am not able to set it up but a trading colleague here in Melbourne will do that for me.

Anyway, I don't think of myself as old - although clearly age has taken its toll. I try to keep young mentally and intellectually engaged. Keep working away at it and you will mske a few dollars and gain some real enjoyment (and some frustration at times) from trading.
