I am a recent returner to Bet Angel.

I recently saw a YouTube video where a chap, using just the Betfair site, placed a Dutching position on a soccer match in the Correct Score market that he later "Cashed-Out". I tried to do something similar using Bet Angel in practice mode but found the green-up facility was disabled in the Settings by default.

I intend to use Bet Angel primarily for football trading. Can someone please explain why Dutching Green-Up functionality is disabled? And is it safe(ish) to enable it.

Thanks in advance.

You can enable it in the settings, but I understand why it's disabled by default

If you're dutching a market and a 1 or 2 selections don't get matched, it's often far better to match them manually than greening/redding across the board on the selections that were matched

What you're discussing is slightly different, so in that circumstance it's fine.
I quite often dutch 5 selections on correct scores for a team I really fancy to win
2-0 2-1 3-0 3-1 Any other

Once they are 1-0 or 2-0 up there's a good green there
It's important the market isn't gappy though, otherwise you'll get matched at a shitty price for one or two

Thanks LeTiss.

Your boys really worked my Spurs over last week didn't they. I thought you were the ones with eyes on the Champions League. Carry on playing like that and you will be. As for my Spurs, same old, same old. I'm used to it.

Hi. Just stumbled on this while looking for anyone else's experiences of dutching. Co-incidently, I'm manually trading and exploring x5 dutching on the CS market and have been gathering data to try to assess probability. One thing is puzzling me - how on earth do you get value when dutching? On other markets, trading singles it's easy enough to offer to the market and get better prices but obviously that isn't an option when dutching because you never know how many of your offers will get matched and if one or two didn't, that changes everything.
Or is that irrelevant if you have greater than x5 times the probability of picking the winner? In which case, just how do you calculate the probability? Presumably something to do with the x5 selections odds as a proportion of the total market?
