When practising scalping on the ladder today over several races, using a reverse book and global settings over several events, I found that I could place bets on the favourite and the third favourite but no bets could be entered on the second favourite. The software made "Bip" sound as if it were placing a bet but no bets were ever actually executed. I tried it dozens of times with the same result. I have noticed a few odd happenings in practice mode but nothing I could repeat.
Anyone with any ideas about how I can fix this before I go back to live bets?
Odd ladder behaviour
I've had the same problem. You can shut down and restart BA which seems to work.
All my net stakes on the ladder show zero (0) so why does only one, not work?
I also get informed at the bottom of my screen that my bank is not big enough for the liability, which is nonsense.
So anyway. If you are using ten pound stakes, does your net stake have to show £10 above all ladders? And how do you do this because I cannot seem to insert any amount in the net stake box.?

You'll only have the net stake selected on that one ladder, and a regular pre-set stake selected on all the others
You can't enter anything in the net stake box, the net stake is just the difference between the amount of back and lay bets you've had matched, and the background colour will show which side its on
Ie, if you had £20 of back bets matched and £5 of lay bets your next stake box would show £15 with a pink background
meaning you need to get £15 of lay bets matched to close that trade
