Greening Up Issue

Hi,

I want to set it to a 2 tick offset which I can do fine, but in horse racing, i lay the horse and want it to place a back bet, and I was to profit from the difference (common strat)

The problem is, the green up greens it all up to if that horse wins, and if it loses I get £0, now my whole strat is hoping it loses, but this means I cant set it to green up properly, unless I then press the green all button, but in horse racing its too fast so want it to do that automatically?

Ive not had this problem with other software, any ideas?

Greening up means you spread the profit (or loss) equally across all runners
Closing the trade means you keep all the profit (or loss) on just that runner and have zero p/l on all others

It might help if you posted a screenshot of your trade, or state your lay price and stake and your back price and stake. It will then be much easier to advise you.

Try applying offset bet with greening from the top left hand drop-down on the BA display.

He said his whole strategy is hoping that it loses (if you can call that a strategy ) which isn't consistent with greening, so I was hoping for a bit of clarity.

On my old software, other software, i used to be able to, for example, lay the unders and then green up by backing the overs. Bet angel doesnt let me do this on the ladder, or show me how much ill make on the ladder on the other markets, it will only let me green up on the football by backing the same market, on the ladder.

I know the "GReen Up" button would do something like this for me, but i want to select a tick and sometimes its easier and better to back the other market (more movement etc...)

How do I do this?

You need to enable 'Optimized Greening' in your green up settings area

When I place an offset bet, and saying im doing L2B, the lay doesnt get matched, but the back is sitting there and then that gets matched first, is there anyway to set it so the Back or the 2nd part of the offset doesnt fire until the first bet is matched as this is losing me money in some situations when the odds move too fast

I have a query regarding this in regard to automatin, the fill/kill only has a delay option, so what if i want to fire a price into the market, and just leave it there until it gets matched, it might get matched within the 90mins, it might not, either way, I dont know the time, so cant input an accurate delay, all i want to do is have the software actually recognise whether its matched a bet or not, and act accordingly? is this not possible?

Yes it's possible as you don't need to know the time it'll be matched in, if you want to use offset betting and want the bet to remain in the market until matched just enter a series of 99999s as the fill/kill time

Its sounds like you might be over thinking what is actually a very straight forward process
