Importing External Data to use in Automation

Hey there,

Just wondering if there is a way that If I have a xls, or csv which is two columns, 1 with the 'selectionid' and a 2nd variable 'pct' which is a decimal ie 0.42, would there be a way to use that within automation,

For example if I had a rule that said , any favourite which is paying below $2 and is within my xls or csv (so basically the selection id is present) and the 2nd variable 'pct' is below .5 it would then trigger

Is that possible? or even other variations if it had to be say Selection Name as the look up.

Have a look at the help here:

You just need to ensure your CSV is formatted correctly (not forgetting the "1" in Row 1)
There are examples in your local BA templates folder which give a great overview of what's required.

It's also worth noting that you don't have to do them as a once only, you can import every x secs or ms, if your CSV is constantly being updated from an external source.

Thanks all, Ive been able to find the template, and populate it
(of note the template file must have something the breaks the rules because when i put mine it it was throwing a error and when I cleaned out all the rows that had a # at the beginning it worked fine.

So I've now got a row called with

*,*,*Princeton Award,*,S,Rating,1

Its my own rating for a specific horse (ideally i will have one row for every horse racing in the day with my rating.

Im struggling now to bring it into automation, is there any videos or documentation on how I now use that rating

For example the favourite happens to be Princeton Award, and the Rating = 1 then place a back bet of $x

Any thoughts or pointers would be awesome (I'm just on the 14 day trial to see if I can get this feature working so if I can ill grab a year licence)

Yeh I have tried that page and a few others , it even down to using the exact settings shown on the screenshots and also trying multiple ways of putting in the selections name into the CSV file.

Hoping someone out there has used this feature and has some advice,

I use it daily with no issues.. I create the CSV with my data and run it with the bot as described... what is is not doing?

No issues here with using the standard template... As you have made changes to that template I would suggest going back to the original & trying again - can't really help unless you posted an example file...

Didn't by any chance save the original CSV in another format or something basic like that?

All working now,

It was a mix of things but nah that part of the process was ok, but I'm able now to load in all my rankings and have them used in automation, I've put down on my backlog to make a video of it cause I think there could be some quick wins for newbies like me (for example on that link above it has a screenshot which some of those lead me down the garden path) so I think it would be good to explain a bit more in detail.

Enabling the output into the logging of markets was really helpful that at least let me know it was present within the tool

I can also now see the rankings in the one click screen as I basically have duplicated all the rows so that there is the a stored value and then replica shared stored value , not sure if that's actually needed but its working so I'm going with it for now
