Automatically taking SP on Greyhounds

Hi All,

I am a definite newbie and I have created a rule to place bets on the Greyhounds but on a number of occasions the bets are not placed and I want to be able to take the SP for all bets when they go in play.
Is there a way to do that as I can do it if I manually place a bet on Betfair but not on Guardian as far as I can see.

Also should I be allowing the rule to trigger multiple times as I only want the bet to be matched once - just a bit unclear what trigger actually means.

I think I may have stumbled across the solution - lets say I want to lay the third favourite on a selected number of races and I have a rule that says to place that bet at best market price for a fixed amount at 10 seconds before the start time.

It that bet is unmatched do I simply add another rule on which I select Rule Type "Take SP all unmatched bets" and then having that as always armed whilst selecting "in row 3 (betfair order).

Hopefully that as I need to do.

Are you wanting to 'place an SP bet' (have the bet matched at the SP price only)
or 'take SP' on a unmatched bet (put the bet into the market but takes SP as a safety net in case it's not matched at your requested odds)?
