A bit stupid turning off the power to Nuclear Reactors as no way of cooling them, after 72 hours they can become critical and explode. 
They may need cooling for a few days after switching off, but leave them on and they need cooling for the time they're on plus a few days. They'll have power from the gas/coal power plants and backup diesel generators, provided Putin doesn't blow those up as well.
Just about everything is closing in Russia and it's not lefties but everybody, including the righties oil companies. The aim is to starve Putin's war machine, sorry, special operations machine.
That said, if anything will cause a peoples' uprising in Russia it will be the closure of McDonald's, so long as Burger King and KFC follow.

It feels very eerie, from the outside it really sounds like the start of dystopian novel or something, can't imagine what it's like being suffocated by the western powers from one side and the Putin regime from the other.
