Worth having a look at a couple of old posts esp if you are on auto:

I don't trade horses or dogs, but anything and everything else I do or at least am prepared to.
General question to anyone - what percentage would you say counts towards being a successful horse racing 'pre-off' bettor?
1) knowing the horse/race/jockey/opponents
2) knowing how the markets generally move as you get closer to the off
3) having balls of steel
Good luck to all at Cheltenham.

Looks like its going to be a watching event for me, just looking at it, there are some large numbers in there and low fill rates on Betfair, being quite new to this I dont really want to up my stakes.
Trade on Betdaq using Bet Angel. The fill rates are quite good there with lower queue sizes.MAGTRADEUK wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:45 pmLooks like its going to be a watching event for me, just looking at it, there are some large numbers in there and low fill rates on Betfair, being quite new to this I dont really want to up my stakes.

Sweet. New bot I'm trialing for the week just got off to a nice start
To anyone looking to learn more about scalping approaches overall, these markets make perfect practice because of increased fillrates.
But no real pressure and no FOMO, the occasion is only as big as you make it, imho better to have a dabble than to just watch on the sides, even if it is with lower stakes at first it's good experience to try and get used to the ebb & flow of the market. You can pick whatever runners you want on whatever price range you feel comfortable at and just try to manage your positions as best as you can.
You don't have to put orders on both sides at the same time if you feel anxious about it, you can insert a directional bias into the market if you feel one side is safer to enter at or can offset your exits to get into queue slightly faster etc, but try and be mindful of longer term trends, if any.
