that wont work

Im laying 0.5 goals in footy. Im firing in a lay price IF im lucky it will get matched, *if* it gets matched i cant cancel all unmatched bets as I need that 2 tick offset to sit in the inplay market for arounf d 8-10 mins, this is the dilema, if im cancelilng anything unmatched Ill either match nothing and be fine, or match my lay, and cancel my offset which will also likely lose me money!

I didn't say cancel all unmatched bets, I said to;

Add a 'Cancel unmatched bets on selection (price dependant)'
and on the parameters tab configure it to cancel all back or lay bets (whatever type of opening bet you are placing)

ie, instruct it to cancel only your lay bet/s

The fill or kill delay is how long the original lay bet will stay in the market before cancelling, not how long it will take to offset. Putting a delay of 99999(28 hours), effectively it means the lay bet will never cancel.
Once the lay bet is fully matched then your offset back bet will be placed immediately, unless your offsetting with batches.
With 'Cancel unmatched bets on selection (price dependant)' you have the option to choose back or lay bets you don’t wont to cancel all unmatched bets.

So the delay makes my offset delayed, and if my lay isnt matched i can cancel it, but then wont my offset still fire?

No you only get the offset bet if the initial bet is matched. That's the whole point of an auto offset bet. If it did the other side regardless then you might as well use a straight bet for that. The fact you've defined an offset inherently links the two; if you don't get your match, you don't get your offset.

I mean i understand thats what an offsets for, obvs i havent been ticking fill or kill, but I still dont understand the need for a delay really as to me thats saying the offset is firing after a delay, nothing to do with whether my initial one is matched. As im having this problem without the fill or kill, the offset doesdnt actually act at all as it should imo from a beginner user.

By using the delay it makes it sound like the offset is firing when the timer counts down, nothing to do with the lay being matched.....

The user guide set out the ways off offset bets can be handled and how fill/kill can be used to control their behaviour to suit what you are doing
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/off ... tages.html

Have you followed the instructions that I gave on the previous page yet?

What you've asked for is something most BA users do on a daily basis so once you've done that it will do exactly what you asked for
