Eh, that's not how excuses work. If the fighting was going on among Russian civilians I bet you we'd hear the same types of reports. 3rd is an incredible offroad beast, seriously you can climb mountains on that thing!
4th (behind it) is an everyone's hated public transportation, if you are not dexterous enough you can get head injury and get into 2nd easily.

It doesn't matter who does it, it doesn't make it any more or less justifiable. And it doesn't matter what war we're talking about. 'War crimes' are happening all over the world as we speak. I'm using the example of Russian soldiers because this conflict is all that's in the news right now. From a historical aspect this kind of stuff has gone on in all kinds of wars. I mentioned what the Russians got up to during WW2 because they were the biggest perpetrators but the Japanese did it when they invaded China and The Americans did it in Germany at the end of the war too. I'm not saying this army or nationality are any worse than another one. Having said that if it was possible to rank these kind of atrocities then what happened at My Lai during the Vietnam war is probably the worse of the lot. An American company killed hundreds of civilians and raped many women and children before shooting them at close range. Even though some of them were court martialed they were found not guilty.
So if you don't want to dehumanise anyone that's your choice. But I'll happily dehumanise them enough for both of us.
I know, people can't help it. But they won't stop there and a population of 150+ million will end up completely cancelled in the end.
