Hi all, not sure if this is the right category for this but.... looks about right.

Anyone know how to assign settings to buttons on controllers and mouse?

I have changed my ladder centering button from "Enter" to "spacebar", but I want to assign it to an extra mouse button I have on the side of my ergonomic mouse. When I try selecting it when creating a new Keyboard shortcut, it doesnt recognise the button, nothing happens.

I know these settings are for creating "Keyboard shortcuts", but assumed this is where Id assign buttons to other devices like mouses and controllers etc.

TIA :geek:

My Logitech needs to recognise that im using BA for the hot keys to work.
Try clicking a button on the one click screen, a stored value or chart. Then try using the mouse on the ladder.

Thanks for the reply...

I tried that but it still doesn't recognise it. None of the buttons are recognised on the mouse, which is odd because I use the standard "Left" and "Right" clicks, and the mouse wheel inbetween when trading.
I Have a basic wireless logitec mouse as well so just tried creating a keyboard shortcut using the wheel button (pressing the wheel) on that, but still no dice!

When I use the ergonomic mouse with the extra buttons for browsing, the button I am trying to assign to Center the Ladders, is a Back button. I haven't set this, its just as it is. So I know its not faulty.

Should just be a case of mapping the key to your mouse button the same way as you would for any other task

I mainly use a Stream deck but have also used two gaming mice in the past and after setting the shortcut key up in BA I've then just mapped that key to the button I want it on and its always worked - don't even think I had BA open half the time when I update/edit my stream deck shortcut buttons

Have you download the g hub ?
Logitech G HUB Advanced Gaming Software - UK
https://www.logitechg.com/en-gb/innovation/g-hub.html
As far as I know you need this to set up a BA profile.
I think you also need to log in to Logitech to save the profiles,

Cheers guys,

Dallas; when you say "setting up the shortcut key up in BA I've then just mapped that key to the button I want it on", do you mean setting up by going to Setting/Behaviour/Keyboard shortcuts/create new profile, and then mapping it to the required button by "capture next key press"?

I just want to make sure I've not missed any steps. I didnt follow a tutorial anywhere, I just was fiddling about looking through settings.

Dabbla; The mouse I want to use with the extra buttons isn't a logitech, its off ebay, "Zflotes T-20 Gaming Mouse" :D , I only bought it because my hand was hurting using the small wireless logitech for 5hrs a day. So I assume that gaming software wont work for this mouse.
Maybe its just the mouse, probably from China! What mouse do you use? I was looking at one of those gaming mouse and small keyboard combos, as I've seen others using them.

Im using the Logitech G502. It has been a bit of a game changer.
If I flick the mouse wheel to the left, it centres the ladder.
If I flick it right, it centres and sorts, very handy.
You can also set up a number of different profiles, which is handy if you trade different sports.

Cheers mate, I might just invest in a G502 to save hours of messing about lol.

Thanks
