Cheers. Just had the bounce back from Covid and then the war kicked off. Long term I know it will do OK - could just do with a few years plain sailing now

I trade my pension. Obviously the flexibility is far less but you can usually still move your pot around between cash, bonds, stocks and futures funds. I'm with L&G and you need to give about 72 hours notice to make a change, but it's enough time to protect against risky scenarios. I was lucky enough to pull it out of stocks and into cash before the Covid crash and then again before the invasion. Once you think the hit to the markets is around it's peak then you move it back into stocks again. Stocks eventually recover and you are quids in!
Good for you, but I'm not comfortable playing around with a 6 figure pot, without the skills to know if I'd doing the right thingjamesedwards wrote: ↑Tue Mar 29, 2022 10:37 pmI trade my pension. I pay for mine to be managed so leave it to the experts. Good news is, it's going slowly back up to pre-war\Covid levels.

Apparently US and Russian forces directly engaged in battle a few years back in Syria, and it was a slaughter.

And others for holding up blank pieces of paper.
What a stupendously terrible legacy Putin will leave if he does leave in 2024.
My naggng doubt is that he may have been the bullwark between us and the real nutcases in the Russian elite. And therefore this is just a preliminary
But he's done/doing stuff that you can't ignore.
Razed Mariupol. Unleashed carnage and misery and will have to come back to the table or go nuclear. So it's all pointless, wasteful and he's reducing his friends day by day. And an isolated Russia is not a good thing.
