I’ll watch all or any news channel but not often. I’m not tribal to any one news network, they probably all have their own funded interests that steer their narratives.

Sky News show real footage, has people on the ground, has interviews with top Russian officials and is free and independent from the government. They don't just tell you what's happening. When they interview Putin's twats who claim that 200,000 troops on Ukraine's border are not provocative or the Ukrainian army is blowing up their own towns and civilians, it's not hard to tell who's telling the truth.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 7:59 pmYou need to take a lesson in propaganda and add a healthy dose of scepticism to your media consumption!Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 5:36 pm
Putin's forces are getting annihilated, troops sabotaging their own equipment, shooting down their own aircrafts, withdrawing from Kyiv, 7 generals killed, 8 sacked, troops unprepared and didn't even know they were going to war. Russia on the verge of bankruptcy. That's playing his cards right?![]()

Derek's main issue with mainstream media is the same as mine, there are just way too many blokes reading the news. It's flippin' ridiculous, how are you supposed to keep focus on what they're saying.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 7:59 pmYou need to take a lesson in propaganda and add a healthy dose of scepticism to your media consumption!Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 5:36 pm

Yep Russia has all the resources as does China, it's amazing anyone believes that sanctions from the west are going to make Russia suffer, what are they going to miss out on... McDonalds? Somehow I think having oil, gas, metals, timber and wheat will come in more useful at being self-sufficient.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 7:17 pm
Most of that could be factual or propaganda, I’m not sure & I’m not too fussed. Don’t think Russia are close to bankruptcy, have you not seen that the Ruble has pretty much recovered to pre invasion (for now at least).
The West’s sanctions based on the Rubles recovery have pretty much only effected the West, I mean it’s us that are paying the price through energy increases… companies that operate globally, such as those in the manufacturing industry will just move their production from the UK to somewhere Russia friendly, like China. That means UK jobs will be shipped off too.
You have to admit that MSM mind control is such an effective tool at programming people what to think. It looks like they have the perfect excuse and distraction for the financial collapse in the west and most people will just lap it up as justification for losing their money to inflation due to the failures of the west

I thought they were only employing box tickers and firing straight white males who are at the bottom of the victim scale.
Some of my issues with mainstream media are:
They consistently lie and when it later becomes a verifiable fact that they lied it gets brushed under the carpet.
There was a contract for over £300,000,000 advertising budget from the UK government to push a certain narrative in recent times.
They use offensive psychological techniques to manipulate emotions and induce fear.
The BBC takes something like £5 billion in licence fees per year and it probably goes into back pockets/overpaid jobs, they threaten pensioners into paying up when it's not compulsary.
The BBC's Eric Gill statue.
The reporting is so biased and non-stop that it's obvious there's an agenda, in reality stories are more complex than one person is good and one person is bad. There should always be two sides to a debate with facts that let people make up their own mind instead of being programmed what to think
Yes, but they can't sell it, can they. It's not just burgers that they're missing out on, Rolls Royce engines, spare parts for aircraft and industrial machinery, inability to service their passenger aircraft that have been leased by other countries, etc.alexmr2 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 9:27 pmYep Russia has all the resources as does China, it's amazing anyone believes that sanctions from the west are going to make Russia suffer, what are they going to miss out on... MSM can't control minds because we're allowed not to believe it. CT controls your mind because you're programmed to believe whatever appears completely bonkers to sane people.

Russian troops re-grouping for round 2.
This is going to be funny.

“We’re gonna need a new world order out there & we need to lead it”.
Ok Joe, but who depends on who more… the East or the West? China is an economic powerhouse and Russia is their bulldog, that are literally willing to throttle us. We have someone with dementia & a pissed up Dandelion.
We diluted the Dollar with so much printing over the past two years too, it would be silly to not use inflation as a weapon right now. Prices were always going to rise if you dilute your currency… the fact that the East can use that as part of their campaign is a card played at the right moment.
Really Derek? Please, use your intellectual ability to explain how Western sanctions stop China or India trading with Russia & how global corporations can’t set up subsidiary companies in those countries.Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 9:51 pmYes, but they can't sell it, can they.
