I am God?
Much better, your last reply had me feeling the way I do when I get no salt on my McDonald’s friesAnbell wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 9:52 amNot yet.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 12:35 amIf we’re consciously aware and our decisions are binary does that mean that destiny is in our own hands? I dont know why but this thread has just reminded me of when I was being a stubborn teenager, my mum would say to me "you think the whole world revolves around you".......and I would always reply.......... "well, it does!"
Have a nice day!

If I alter my reality, perhaps by killing you, then doeesn't that alter your reality against your will? But it's a huge leap of logic to go from the ability to choose cheese or beans on our toast to creating our own reality. And is a dog that chooses where to pee a god too?
The complication seems to down to believing in god or gods when the reality is we're a fairly basic organism, living on a nice little rock and like it or not that's it. No imaginary superhero, and no special status, no magic powers. 'Gods' only exist in the human consciousness to explain the as yet unknown, or as a product of ego that places us above other species, or as a construct to subjugate populations.
In the meantime I'm going to pretend my gas bill doesn't exist, might work?
Ffs, how can there be flaws so easily found in a theory completely of the cusp after a good ole session, just for the forum members who were expecting me to tune in drunk after 12.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 4:32 pmIf I alter my reality, perhaps by killing you, then doeesn't that alter your reality against your will? Just about the perfect description of my views on God. I'd only add that although I'm agnostic I try to live by religious values. Ignoring the fundamentalist loonies, most religions describe entirely reasonable and laudable ways to live your life. I know some will point to the awful things down under the guise of religion, but good at least equals, and I think surpasses, evil.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 4:32 pmIf I alter my reality, perhaps by killing you, then doeesn't that alter your reality against your will? But what do I know? Maybe Earth was created by dolphins and sometime soon they're going to head off into space to find another planet not polluted by these nutty bipeds.

Absolutely agree, although I'll have to look into The Water Babies reference. But thats one of the reasons I stick with this forum (despite having a motivational hiatus with the core subject of the forum). There is more here than just edges, odds etc.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 6:28 pm"Do as you would be done by" seems to be all you need as moral guidance but The Water Babies doesn't count as a religous script![]()

Right now I'm God.
Until the next energydirect debit is extracted or some random part of the house decides to fall off.
Do these things not respect my omnipotence?
No!
