I think that game on Sunday took a lot out of City, they didn't have the luxury of resting nearly the entire first 11 like we did.

Could have backfired tbh, every shot they made went in, not seen many clinical performances like this. This high line without ball pressure has to be reworked asap or it's not going to be a fun April.

That Darwin kid is nutty, 30+ goals this season? I can see why. I'd take him over Haaland in a heartbeat. Origi is off to Milan and Fabio Carvalho is sort of taking his spot, but might be a good time to replace Firmino seeing as he's 5th choice now.

Yeah he looks special. And he has something none of our forwards do, a proper goal scorers instinct. The snapshot that Allisson saved was impressive, he just hit it without thinking. I'd offer Salah 100k a week and if he says no sell him and buy Nunez No room for sentiment if you want to be the best team in the world

Inevitably Big Sam is being touted as a replacement.
But would he be interested?
I think they're gone now. But maybe that's the plan.
I'm assuming that parachute payments are in this season's contracts so would be paid even if it's decided to discontinue them.
So Burnley drop and utilise the parachute payment and hope to bounce straight back next year.

It's a shame though, Dyche did a great job producing a plucky team that punched above their budget.

Burnley saw Leeds make a big decision on their manager that yielded a positive set of results, so they think it's worth taking a shot.

The 2 games at home to the out of form Southampton and enigmatic Wolves and then the away game at Watford must yield at least 7 points. The home game against Villa soon after, is winnable if they have the momentum.

However, the loss v Norwich does suggest a morale buster in the camp, will the players react positively to the change?

They have 13 over 30 and 10 out of contract in June. Those 10 might yield £35 million plus. That could be doubled by parachute payments to refresh the squad.
But maybe this episode feeds into the narrative of US owners having a different view of what the EPL is about. The Glazers are pretty much despised by Utd fans. LFC swerved disaster with Hicks and Gillet thanks to RBS kicking them out. And LFC have found a proper owner in FSG but they are the exception.
Interesting that Dyche's assistants have gone too. Ian Woan obviously thinks sticking with Dyche is a better bet than caretaking Burnley. And I think he's spot on.

But I don't see EFC being overhauled by Burnley without a complete mutiny. But Lamps hasn't proven to be their saviour as yet.
