i have an automated program - it layed at horse at time 00:00 before inplay at 4.50 with a $2.50 SL. There was a delay and a major scratching meaning the price was adjusted to about 2.50. So when the market went in pl;ay i was stopped out straight away. Have i got this right? If so whatys a way around it? Maybe place the bet as it goes in play??

Yes, either place it in play

Or you could store the number of runners at the time of placing the bet,

Then add another rule which checks if this reduces and if the rule could either green up, amend your exit price etc
