VPS problem - mid trading

Very actively trading a cricket match on a Bet Angel VPS.

Mid game, I get the message

"Betfair business rules do not allow this bet to be placed"

If I go to the native website on the VPS, I get this message :

The following bet(s) could not be placed: Most likely this is due to you being located in a country where we currently can't offer our services. If you have questions please contact our Helpdesk at [email protected].

Are the VPS in Ireland ok ?

How can I fix ? If i login to the account theu a VPN, account takes bets.

We've had a couple of queries pop up in support suddenly along similar lines.

We saw this once before and it was a Betfair error. The IP's map to the UK so it can't be that, it must be an error in the look up table on Betfair perhaps?

It's odd how it happened at exactly 19:00

Other Bet Angel VPS accept bets on the same game.

Really puzzling.

The last time this happened, just in general, not specific to a VPS. Betfair changed something at their end which threw out lots of errors.

Can u raise a flag with them - VPN thru UK works.

Presume servers are in Ireland.

Havent tried a VPN thru Ireland - will try after game.

If needed, we can swap servers and IP's to work around it.

Betfair have confirmed it is their issue: -

Betfair have confirmed this is an incorrect GeoIP update from a third party and they are going to roll it back.

Problem solved on my VPS.
