Just saw it now. That could have been even worse if he was half on the horse when the stalls opened.
Hi guys,
happy Monday lol
I am trying (and failing...) to trade pre off, as there are so many variables I am restricting myself to 'x' range of odds, 'y' types of trades a 'z' amount of liquidity. Just to get some set parameters as it feels like walking on ice in the dark at times.
Despite this, I still find an enormous amount of variety in the races and how the market can form/play out (time/liquidity), combined with my lack of discipline at times it has caused me to enter a trade without realising that the odds are moving because of the horses starting position on the field amongst the other horses (wandering around).
How can I isolate the races that start in stalls?
I have tried to google but did not get a simple method to eliminate the ones that will start whilst trotting around.
Any help greatly appreciated
Thank you
Adam

Hi diggy, so I think you are asking how to avoid races without stalls? If so then the vast majority of flat races (99.9%) are ran from stalls and its national hunt races are where the runners line up in various positions at the start. So concentrate on trading flat racing (which is the dominant type of racing throughout the summer) and avoid national hunt racing (when races are labelled Hrd, Chs and NHF).Diggy1884 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 2:38 pmHi guys,

An exception to there being stalls on the flat is the 1m 6f start at Salisbury. Hope this was helpful!
Thank you, that is perfect, you couldn't have been more helpful, I will jot it down.pafcmyles wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 5:58 pmHi diggy, so I think you are asking how to avoid races without stalls? There is a ready-made market search filter you can download which filters flat UK & IRE races using the terms detailed aboveDiggy1884 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 6:14 pmThank you, that is perfect, you couldn't have been more helpful, I will jot it down.pafcmyles wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 5:58 pmHi diggy, so I think you are asking how to avoid races without stalls? Are Newbury's clocks wrong?
Every race so far they're still milling about behind the stalls 2 minutes after post

It’s beyond their control apparently. Unless the race is on itv, and they have to get them off on time or not get paid.
I know people say they have a lot of unraced maidens etc, though this is a handicap and they have just been idling around behind the stalls and are 5 minutes late already. It’s every time with them.
