Hi
In automation is it possible to guarantee placing a back bet on the favourite at BSP ?
In General I have :-
"Place Back SP Bet"
Arm Trigger 1 sec before start time to 10 minutes after start time (with a NOT in-play condition).
Applies to selection in position 1 in order of favouritism
This gets me almost over the line but could trade the wrong runner if the Fav changes between the start time and actual off.
Is there a better way to guarantee I've traded the BSP Favourite ?
Thanks in advance
Trading the BSP Favourite
I don't think it's possible to guarantee a bet on the BSP favourite because, if there are joint or near joint favourites there's no way of knowing which will be favourite until BSP is reconciled immediately after off-time.Shuffler wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 3:52 pmHi

Yes I think your right Derek. I'm probably as close as I'm going to get. I'll run with it in testing and see how it smoothes out in the long run with winners and losers.Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 5:39 pmI don't think it's possible to guarantee a bet on the BSP favourite because, if there are joint or near joint favourites there's no way of knowing which will be favourite until BSP is reconciled immediately after off-time.Shuffler wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 3:52 pmHi

You can check to see if the fav has changed after you've placed your TakeSp bet, then cancel/replace. It won't stop the close favs like Derek says but BSP doesn't vary far from the last mid price. Or you might decide that if they're that close you won't bet?
Also, to be clear, you can only cancel if you place a normal exchange bet and then TakeSP. If you place an actual SP bet or LImit SP bet you can't cancel your betShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 7:04 pmYou can check to see if the fav has changed after you've placed your TakeSp bet, then cancel/replace.
