I got my Stan James account restricted as I had about 4 bets at £20 and one at £40

Today i tried to place a £20 bet and they restricted it to less than £2 as they said on all my bets the price had gone it. I didn,t get a winner on there either

Can they do this though and is it common? as they accused me of "arbitration" which I didn,t know what meant until today

Yes, bookmakers don't like winners. They are allowed to palp bets if they think got a price you shouldn't have got. They will also restrict you to stupid stakes if they think you are a bit smart.

Hi Joe

I'm surprised. SJ restricted me, but only after I'd bet (and won!) several grand with them!

Are these the only bets you've ever placed with them? If so, maybe they're tightening up...

I'm surprised they called you an arbster though. To make arbing worthwhile, you need to be using much bigger stakes than £20 and £40...

In recent days SJ and VC have been having a clear out of anyone who appears to have a brain. Embarrassing really for anyone they leave alone. :)
