Possible bug? (Matched/Unmatched Columns)

I've noticed in BA v1.59.0 automation bets placed using an automation rule actually get placed on Betfair but don't show as MATCHED or UNMATCHED in the automation list.

Log file at the bottom part of the screen shows as bet placed, Betfair website shows as bet placed and matched and yet there is nothing in the 2 column's UNMATCHED and MATCHED in the automation list.

Sometimes I'll get the number of matched or unmatched bets but sometimes I don't, the only thing I can think of is I'm testing a strategy I'm using very small stakes (<£1) but this was ok in practice mode so not sure if this is a bug or not?

There is noting showing in the MATCHED and UNMATCHED tabs at the bottom tabs either and yet the automation placed the bets successfully for me, the automation tab shows the bet was placed.

Maybe I'm just having a thick moment

Had there been any voided bets?

I don't know why but sometimes after a disallowed goal and voided bets, Betfair and BA don't reconcile, even after shutting down and restarting BA!

Bet went in at half time but there was a red card in the 40th minute so perhaps this may have made a difference?

If you're talking about the mathced/unmatched bets column on Guardian I had the same issue. It was a bug in the beta version of v1.59 but it was patched in the general release

If that's the case then it's still a possible bug that would be worth BA looking into.

The last time it happened unfortunately I didn't take any snaps of it, but I think a voided bet sometimes appears in the matched bets list with odds of zero, so a lay bet counts as fantom money won and a back bet counts as fantom money lost, screwing up your P/L.

It is in Guardian but that fix doesn't mention the actual 'Columns' so It could mean the tabs in the bottom panel of Guardian which is why the bug still exists.

If it does mean the actual columns then the bug does still exist, well for me it does.

That bug was related to the tabs because that's the issue me and a few others had. I suppose next time you notice it happen check to see if the orders are showing in the tabs at the bottom. When it happened to me I never even thought of checking to see if the bets were showing in the columns.

In Guardian in the UNMATCHED & MATCHED columns there are zero's where there should be the number of bets matched or unmatched and the following tabs at the bottom of Guardian show a difference of opinions.

TABS:-

ODDS = show the selections available and any profit/loss in green showing as £0.00
UNMATCHED BETS = nothing showing for either LAY/BACK
MATCHED BETS = nothing showing for either LAY/BACK
AUTOMATION = is showing that the rule was triggered 1/1 for the bet
LOG = is showing the bet was placed and fully matched at the odds and time showing on the Betfair website.

There was an issue going back several versions were matched bets weren't showing in the matched bets tab below Guardian and sometimes required the average odds to be toggled on/off to get them to show - which has since been fixed

But to have zero shown in the unmatched/matched bets columns and £0.00 on the odds tab the only option that controls those is the 'Retain matched bets option'
That option being disabled would produce exactly what you've described in each of the tabs above and as yet I've never seen anyone have any problems with the columns and P&L on the odds tab when its used, so not quite sure what else it could be at this moment if its not that option

Just one thing worth checking before testing further, now you've saved it on all profiles just log out of Bet Angel and back in again and before you do anything just check through each saved profile and make sure the option is still saved for them all that way we can be 100% that's as it should be

Just before reading your reply I opened another BA in practice mode and tested an old trigger for horse racing and that was fine, tested another old trigger for a football match just kicking off at 14:00 and that was fine also.

Since reading your reply I've restarted BA fully and checked those tick boxes in each profile and they are still ticked so I'll continue as normal and report back even if all ok just in case this thread helps anyone else with the same problem.

Just a quick update to say it happened again so there is a bug there, I'm surprised no-one else has experienced it, it's not the end of the world tho as its only a small annoyance.

Can you post a full screenshot of your Guardian with a random market and the odds tab at the bottom selected

Was this a fresh login this morning and did it start happening from the first market, after a while or did all suddenly go blank?

If it was a bug it would of been reported by others users well before now, especially at this level but obviously something is happening, we just need to figure out what, it maybe a corrupted settings file so you could try deleting your existing file/s (I think you said you only use one currently?) then log in with the factory defaults and recreate that settings file with the 'Retain matched bets' option ticked and see how that goes even if just to rule out a corrupted file
