Please can Bet Angel comment on their plans, if any, for the future of Betdaq Angel?
With the bad news re the Betfair Premium Charge, it seems likely that that more people will want to give it a try.
Are there any plans to upgrade it to the level of Bet Angel Pro and make it subscription based?
A feature that highlighted the corresponding Betfair price would be useful...
Future Plans for Betdaq Angel?
I agree entirely
Anyone who trades sport, and not race by race horses, will have noticed how totally crap BA for Betdaq is.
It's clearly the time to change this, and for BA to charge their customers for this improved service.
Either pay £150 for either product, or perhaps £250 for both?

From what I remember from a previous discussion on this it is not as straight forward as there are some fundamental differences between the platforms.
One that comes to mind is the inability to place a bet below 50p. There is a technique to do this on Betfair but not on Betdaq. Correct me if I'm wrong.
So simple things like greening may not work as expected.
Do Betdaq have 'KEEP' and 'TAKE-SP' now?

Yeah, that's correct, there needs to be some compromise, but the ball is in Betdaq's court as much as BA's development team
Betdaq's ambition has always been questioned, but it's more relevant than ever now. Do they want all these pro traders or not? If the answer is no, then they won't be interested in applying all BF's additional features

If we are to develop the Betdaq version further we need critical mass. Currently we don't have that at all. So please do your best to let the world know about it and if we see interest pick up, it may become viable to spend money developing it or it allows us to leverage it to raise funding to pay for additional development.

It's chicken and egg though. We stand a better chance of making the move, or at least a partial one, if BA take the lead.Euler wrote:If we are to develop the Betdaq version further we need critical mass. What's your opinion of Betdaq as a company?
You can use them as a Bailout when the BF goes downsuperfrank wrote:It's chicken and egg though. Peter,
Some of that critical mass might come from Australia - as it is possible for Australian traders to trade in play on sporting events on Betdaq - that can't happen with Betfair as they are restricted by the terms and conditions of their Australian licence.
I would love to be able to trade tennis and cricket (and other sports) live - so if Betdaq can do it you might pick up considerable numbers from Asutrlalia.
cheers

I can understand Bet Angels reluctance to develop the Betdaq version re-costs, but with the way things are going at Betfair, have you thought that in a year or two, it could be a shadow of its former self?
Have you considered that any money set aside for the future development of BA/Betfair might be better spent on the Betdaq version?
Also you have to consider how many other companies do any trading platforms for Betdaq?
It's quite possible that reluctance to invest now could give the competition the upper hand, if/when the time comes.

Just to underline this, we are not ruling out upgrading the app but we need to see more support than we did last time. We went out of our way to produce an app that was exactly the same as Betfair app when the first premium charge was announced. But it never really got the sort of take up expected. We didn't expect the same numbers as Betfair, but because it is free is should have seen many more than it did.
It's just plain old economics really. If you provide something for free there has to be a payoff at some point somewhere, somehow.

What kind of support are you looking for peter, a donation button was suggested, maybe ask everyone for a small donation to help fund the development and dependant on dontaion levels, you could choose how much work or updates you do to it? and that way you could tell who was serious, Id be more than happy to send a few quid over to help further enhance the product?
